Celebrating New Year? This can make it more Amazing!

 ORIGIN There are two stories about the origin of New Year:-   1st story - New Year wasn’t always celebrated on 1st Jan. The earliest New Year celebrations date back to about 4,000 years ago. At that time, the people of ancient Babylon began their New Year in March. They had an 11-day celebration at the beginning of Spring as the crops were being planted for the upcoming year. 2nd story - New Year on 1st January was declared by Julius Caesar, the Roman emperor. He declared 1st Jan as a national holiday after the name of the god Janus, the Roman God of doors and gates. Janus had two faces one looking forward and the other looking back. FACTS 1.) North America - People celebrate New Year by gathering family and friends for parties. Sometimes, meals and spectacular firework displays are also on. 2.) NAVRATRI SERIES: DAY 7-> MATA KALARATRI

  She is the seventh form of goddess Durga. She is widely known as one of the most destructive forms of the mother goddess, which include Kali, Mahakali, Bhadrakali, Bhairavi, Mrityu, Rudrani, Chamunda, Chandi and Durga. She is worshipped during the ninie nights of Navratri celebrations. The seventh day is devoted to her and her appearance itself invokes fear. She is believed to be the destroyer of all demons, ghosts, evil spirits and negative energies, who flee upon knowing of her arrival. She is also known as Shubhankari- meaning auspicious/doing good. It is believed that she makes her devotees fearless. Her planet is Saturn. She mounts on a donkey, lion or tiger.
